Things to do and places to see in Toronto

Toronto is the capital city of the Ontario province. It has a population of 2.7 million and is the biggest city in Canada - population-wise. Toronto is one of the most diverse cities in Canada and the world. You'll find 46km of beautiful lakeshore and a wide range of things to do in the city. Our top 3 picks are listed below.

CN Tower: The world's tallest free-standing structure until 2007, there's nowhere better to see the city than from the observation deck of this iconic tower. A daytime visit is a great way to see the city but consider treating yourself to an evening meal in the revolving restaurant for a truly spectacular experience.

Toronto Islands: When the sun shines, the Islands are a wonderful place to relax and have fun with beautiful views of the city skyline. Only a short ferry trip from the mainland, the 15 islands are interconnected by pathways and bridges. There is plenty to do, from swimming to kayak rentals to bike hire, there is something for everyone. It is also home to several relaxed cafés and restaurants offering BBQ food, pizza and other holiday favourites.

High Park: 400 acres of lawns, gardens and woodlands offers relaxing walks and other activities such as a ZOO, playgrounds, tennis courts and even a swimming pool. You can ice skate during the winter if the lake is frozen. We highly recommend visiting High Park in Toronto.
