    How to get from the airport to the city centre?

    Newark Liberty International airport is located around 3 miles south from Downtown Newark in New York. Newark is one of three major international airports in New York. Newark is very popular thanks to its location, which is very central and makes New York city centre easily accessible.

    AirTrain
    There is an Air Train service from the Airport to the city centre. It connects Newark Airport Terminals with the Newark Liberty International Airport Rail Link Station. It will get you to the nearest train station.

    Taxi
    The famous yellow taxis are available at the airport. They will take you to downtown Manhattan for around $45. Unlike everywhere else, the taxi journey can prove to be the longest option. It may take you up to 40 min to get to town if you get stuck in peak traffic.

    Bus
    There are buses available at the airport. They can be time-consuming as they stop often along the way. The journey to the city centre may take up to 1.5 hours and cost around $3 for normal service and $9 for an express.
