    Located just 7km outside of Amsterdam, you can easily catch a train, bus, car/taxi or even rent a bike!

    By Train: definitely the easiest way to get to the city is by train. The station is located directly below the airport and only takes a couple of minutes' walk.

    By car/taxi: the taxi rank is located right outside the terminal. Fares are displayed on the taxi meter and all taxis accept contactless payment. Schiphol also has the unique option of renting a shared electric car for the duration of your trip. They are called car2go and are available directly from the airport.     By bus: There are regular bus and coach services at the front of the terminal building that can take you directly to the city centre.

    Herring Carts: It might not be to everyone's fancy but herring is a Dutch specialty. Herring carts are scattered throughout the city and a "broodje haring" is a small sandwich. They are usually pickled and extremely fresh.
