Fundació Miró Mallorca
The former house of master Joan Miró in Palma has been converted into two studios that give the visitor an insight into the artist’s mind, with sights of his creative process, illustrated by his paintings and sketches.
One of the city’s great treasures, the monumental cathedral “La Seu” reflects the medieval past of Palma. Spectacular from all angles, it is considered one of the most beautiful Gothic cathedrals in the world.
Palma International Airport is approximately 15km from the centre of the city, Plaza Mayor. There are taxis and buses available at the airport, and journeys can range from 20-30min and can cost you between €5-€30.
Taxi: There are plenty of taxis available outside the terminal, and a trip to the city centre will take approximately 20 minutes and cost you around €25-€30. An extra charge can be applied for excess luggage. It is a good option when travelling in a group.
Bus: Buses are available from the outside of the terminal and go all the way to the city centre. Departures are roughly every 15 minutes and a one-way ticket costs €5, which you can purchase from the driver in cash. They are a reliable option but can get very crowded and with little space for luggage.
Passports are always required except for citizens of the European Union, Switzerland, United Kingdom, or countries that are members of the European Economic Area. In these cases, citizens can travel with a valid identity card (except for minors, who must have a parental permit). Visas are generally required for all other tourists, except when an international agreement signed with Spain, or another country from the Schengen area indicates otherwise, or when the tourist holds a residence permit or a long-stay visa issued by another state in the Schengen area (see official website).
