Situated between Brittany and the Loire Valley, Nantes through the centuries fired the imagination of its people and visitors with creativity in the air. There is something to see and do all over the city, which will certainly please all sorts of visitors - from young to old.

  • Château des Ducs de Bretagne
Located in the heart of the medieval quarter, the Château is the home of the Nantes Museum of History, offering a walking tour around the 1150 objects within collections pertaining to Nantes’ history (the Atlantic trade, World War I and II…), showcasing the city’s history from 1945 to today.

Visitors can discover interactive sculptures like the Great Elephant, the Marine Worlds and the Heron Tree - and sometimes even take the controls!
  • Passage Pommeraye
