Chicago Architecture River Cruise: Chicago's tall buildings are well known to most and there is nothing like seeing it from a leisurely cruise on the river. The 75 minute architecture boat tour will show you over 40 Chicago landmarks. Sit back and enjoy the magnificent views that Chicago has to offer. Adults go for $40 and children for $20.

360 Chicago Observation Deck: Tower above the Windy City's world-famous skyline with admission to 360 Chicago. 94 floors high, the observation deck is one of the tallest buildings in America. This is an amazing experience! Take a super-fast lift to the top of the tower and admire Chicago from above. Upgrade your ticket to include TILT and enjoy a downward-facing ride from 1,030 feet. Standard tickets are $21, make sure you book in advance.

How many days do you need in Chicago? Many people recommend around 4 days in Chicago, but it may depend on what type of trip you are looking for. Many culture and architect buffs like to spend bit longer as the city has some unique museums (including; Art Institute of Chicago, Museum of Science and Industry, Field Museum of Natural History) and some incredible buildings (including; Willis Tower, Aon Centre, Franklin Centre). You can even go on an architectural cruise to see them from a different perspective. An absolute must is to head to Millennium Park and take a photo with the Bean.

What are the best months to visit Chicago? Like most cities, Summer is Chicago's peak tourist season as it usually coincides with numerous festivals that happen around the city. Chicago has notoriously bitter winters that last from November through March, with regular snowfall and wind tunnels caused by the numerous skyscrapers. Temperatures are much more manageable in late Spring and Early Autumn.

How to get from the airport to the city centre?

Whether you are travelling downtown or to the suburbs O'Hare Airport has several different transport options available.

Train: the Blue Line "L" train is open 24/7 and is probably the most efficient and cheapest way to get to your destination. It takes around 45 mins and costs about $5. It is located within O'Hare and you can get it from T1, T2 or T3.

Taxi/Rideshare: both taxis and rideshare services are available at O'Hare Airport. It usually takes around 30 mins, but that really depends on the time of day you are travelling, it should cost around $30-$40.

Bus: While there are regional buses, the easiest option is the "Go Airport Express" Services which offers door-to-door downtown coverage including most Chicago neighbourhoods and suburbs.

Do I need a Visa to visit Chicago?

You won't need a Visa (if you are a British or European citizen), but you will need to complete an ESTA (Electronic System for Travel Authorization). It's easy to apply for one online but be sure to have it completed at least 72 hours before your trip or you could be denied entry.
