Avios‑Only Flights Are Back!

An Avios-Only flight is one on which every seat on the flight is available as a reward seat. Available exclusively to AerClub members, these are direct flights operated by Aer Lingus.

Flights connecting to or from other destinations are not included and will only use commercial availability.

We have two upcoming flights to and from Malta, which you can book from 19 March 2026 until all seats are sold out.

Flights can be booked until all seats are sold, or Aer Lingus determines remaining seats may become available to all customers. Seats are available on a first-come, first-served basis while seats last.

These seats cost the standard Reward Flight price. Prices vary depending on whether the flight is operating at peak or off-peak times and the flight distance.

The below shows Avios fare prices for one person return for peak travel period, as of March 2026. Taxes, fees, carrier charges payable, along with top-up cash amount may apply.

You book Avios-Only flights just like a regular Reward Flight, through rewards.aerlingus.com.

Yes, you can book a return or a one-way journey.

These Avios-Only flights (EI464 and EI465) are short-haul, so only have an Economy cabin. Business Class bookings are only available on transatlantic flights.

Absolutely, we want you to have the holiday that suits you. If you want to depart or arrive on a different day, you can simply book one leg of your journey as an Avios-Only flight and the other on a regular flight as a Reward Flight.

It's not possible to combine an Avios-Only flight (or any other Reward Flight) with a commercial flight on the same booking. However, you can always make two separate bookings if that's what suits you best.

Yes, each passenger has the below baggage included for this reward flight to Malta:

• • 1 x 10Kg Cabin bag - placed in the overhead locker, plus, one small personal item placed under seat
  • 1 x 20Kg checked bag allowance.

Yes, it is possible to purchase a seat, an additional bag or special equipment online or by contacting Aer Lingus up to 4 hours before departure. Contact us if you wish to buy a seat, additional bags, or sports equipment.

All changes or cancellations must be made a minimum of 24 hours prior to the scheduled departure of the flight being changed or cancelled. For amendments more than 24 hours before departure, you will be charged any increase in Avios and tax/RFS plus a €42.50 pp Amendment fee. If it is less than 24 hours before the scheduled departure, no amendments can be made.

For cancellations more than 24 hours before departure, the Avios/Avios and Money is fully refundable. All taxes, fees and charges are refundable, minus a €42.50 pp cancelation fee. If it is less than 24 hours before the scheduled departure, the Avios/Avios and Money is NON-REFUNDABLE. All taxes fees and charges ARE refundable. In this case the amendment or cancellation fee will not be charged.

You also have a 24-hour cooling off period from the time you make the booking to receive a full refund as long as travel is not within the next 24 hours.
