New Dublin-London City route

We're delighted to announce that Aer Lingus is joining forces with CityJet to expand our presence in London and build on CityJet's long-established presence at London City Airport. The expansion will see Aer Lingus operations between Dublin and London increase to up to 50 daily flights from October 2018.

Starting on 28 October 2018, Aer Lingus will operate six daily round trips from Dublin to London City Airport on weekdays, with a reduced service at the weekend.

These will be in addition to our current extensive services between Dublin and London Heathrow and Gatwick airports.

The new schedule is tailored to provide competitive travel options across the day for guests travelling on business or for leisure.

From today, guests can book a flight on the route for travel on or after the 28 October. Fares start from €44.99 one way from Dublin and £49.99 each way from London City Airport.

London City Airport is conveniently located just 10km east of Central London and 5km from Canary Wharf. The airport can be accessed by taxi, bus or Underground/DLR.

Guests flying from London City Airport will also enjoy greater connectivity to Aer Lingus' North American destinations via a seamless transfer and U.S. Customs and Immigration Pre-Clearance in Dublin Airport.

No, there will be no change to your booking. All current bookings until 27 October are still valid and will be operated by CityJet.

CityJet will contact guests to offer the options of a new booking with an Aer Lingus departure time closest to that of your original flight or a cancellation with full refund. If you choose a cancellation with full refund, you must submit this before 11 September 2018.

Guests wishing to transfer their booking to Aer Lingus will be migrated to Aer Lingus bookings in the coming weeks.

Guests will be accommodated on the flight with the closest departure time, as the Aer Lingus schedule may vary from the original CityJet booking.

Guests migrated from CityJet will receive an Aer Lingus confirmation email outlining details of their booking (including the Aer Lingus booking reference, flight times, etc.) on or before 1st October 2018.

CityJet City Value ticket holders will be re-accommodated with Plus fares on equivalent Aer Lingus flights. Learn more about Aer Lingus Plus fares here.

CityJet City Flex ticket holders will be re-accommodated with Advantage fares on equivalent Aer Lingus flights. Learn more about Aer Lingus Advantage fares here.

If you are flying one way on or before the 27 October and returning on or after the 28 October, your booking will be split.

Your original booking will stand for your flight on or before 27 October with CityJet. You will receive a new booking confirmation from Aer Lingus for your return flight on or before 1st October 2018.

Guests who transfer their booking will be able to check-in online here. Guests who need to make any changes to a booking (ie. adding bags, date change, seat change, etc.) will need to contact the Aer Lingus Reservations teams on 1890 800 600 in Ireland or 0333 004 5000 from the UK.

Guests travelling from Dublin Airport are required to check in up to 40 minutes prior to departure at Terminal 2. Guests travelling from London City Airport are required to check in up to 30 minutes prior to departure.
