Who can apply for a refund voucher?
The following customers can apply for a refund voucher for the full value of their flights (fare, taxes & charges, and ancillary purchases):
If your booking was made via a third party (such as a travel agent, online agency or another airline), please contact the agent directly to discuss your options.
AerClub reward bookings including Aer Credit Card, Chase Companion bookings and tiered benefits are not eligible for refund vouchers.
When is the expiry date?
The refund voucher is valid for five years from the issue date.
Does the refund voucher include ancillaries such as seats, bags etc.?
Yes. The value of the refund voucher includes the fare, taxes, charges, seats, bags and administration fee less any Avios. Avios will be refunded to your Avios account. It will not apply for any third party payments. Third party ancillaries such as car hire are not included.
How will I receive the refund voucher?
The lead customer on the booking will receive the refund voucher by email.
Does each customer on a booking receive a refund voucher?
No. The lead customer should apply and only one refund voucher will be issued per booking.
How long does it take to receive the refund voucher once submitted?
Due to the high number of recent requests, unfortunately it's taking us longer than expected to issue refund vouchers. We're working as quickly as we can to get them issued over the coming weeks. We're sorry for the delay and any inconvenience.
Can the refund voucher be redeemed across multiple bookings?
Yes. Any credit remaining following redemption of the refund voucher may be used within the original validity period towards future flight purchases.
