Fare Rules

Different fare rules may apply to each leg of your journey. Please check the corresponding fare rule below. Your fare type is displayed beside your itinerary details on the Price page.

Flights within Europe

Saver fare

• No refund at any time
• Government tax refund requests must be made within one month from the booked travel date

• Changes permitted subject to following fees/conditions. Fees are per person per sector:

  Routes from Cork, Shannon and Knock to London Heathrow within 60 days of the first scheduled travel date:
  Online: EUR49 / GBP45 / USD55
  Reservations Centre: EUR50 / GBP40 / USD80
  

  Routes from Cork, Shannon and Knock to London Heathrow outside 60 days of the first scheduled travel date:
  Online: EUR29 / GBP25 / USD35
  Reservations Centre: EUR50 / GBP40 / USD80
  

  All other Routes between Ireland/UK/Europe
  Online: EUR40 / GBP35/ USD60
  Reservations Centre: EUR50 / GBP40 / USD80
  

• Any difference in cost between the original price paid and price available at the time of change will also apply.
• Change fees/Fare difference are non refundable
• Changes permitted up to 2 hours prior to scheduled departure of flight
• Changes permitted from same country of origin only
• Aer Lingus flights between the UK/Continental Europe and the USA which include a connecting flight in Ireland, will be subject to a combination of the change fees above as these journeys contain both a short-haul and a long-haul flight.
• All changes, including upgrading your fare type, are subject to a change fee and any applicable fare difference.

• Name changes are permitted only on flights operated by Aer Lingus and Aer Lingus Regional for EUR100/GBP80/USD157 per person and may be changed up to 2 hours prior to commencement of journey. Name must be changed for all flights in the itinerary.

Plus fare

• No refund at any time
• Government tax refund requests must be made within one month from the booked travel date

• Changes permitted subject to following fees/conditions. Fees are per person per sector:

AerSpace fare

• Full refund when cancelled prior to the flight scheduled departure time.

• Changes will incur any difference in cost between the original price paid and price available at the time the change is being made. However, there will be no refund of the difference in fare should the new fare be of lower value to that of the original fare.

Flights to Izmir, Turkey

These are direct charter flights with no stops. Total flight duration is 4h 25m. After purchasing a ticket hotel accommodation can also be purchased at hotels.aerlingus.com, Hotels can also be booked upon arrival at Izmir (ADB) airport through our representative Fly Service at the Fly Service sales desk.

Business fare

• Fare basis codes beginning with C/I/D/P will receive a full refund less 15% of the flight fare and a refund administration fee (applicable per person, per one-way flight).
• Government tax refund requests must be made within one month from the booked travel date

• Date, time and route changes subject to availability plus any difference in cost between the original price paid and price available at the time the change is being made. However, there will be no refund of the difference in fare should the new fare be of lower value to that of the original fare.
• Changes permitted up to 2 hours prior to scheduled departure of flight
• Changes permitted from same country of origin only

• Changes permitted from same country of origin only

AerClub Eligibility

Your fare class is the first letter of your fare basis code.

Your fare basis code can be located by clicking the link 'Fare Basis' at the end of the 'Review and Purchase' stage of your booking.

Earning Tier Credits

Tier Credits are only awarded when flying on Aer Lingus, British Airways or American Airlines marketed flights that are by operated Aer Lingus, British Airways or American Airlines.

Earning Avios on Aer Lingus Flights

Aer Lingus flights booked in all classes except the classes listed below qualify for Avios.
