Inside Llewyn Davis (R)

Feeling that he's finally burned his bridge with longtime friends and fellow folk singers Jim and Jean and convinced that his recent work on a novelty song will lead him nowhere, Llewyn hitches a ride to Chicago with the mysterious Roland Turner and his taciturn valet Johnny Five on a mission to audition for famed impresario Bud Grossman. Meanwhile, Llewyn discovers that he himself may be the biggest obstacle on his arduous road to success.

The Hunger Games: Catching Fire (PG-13)

A year after winning the 74th Hunger Games, Katniss Everdeen and her partner, Peeta Mellark must go on what is known as the Victor's Tour wherein they visit all the districts. But before leaving, Katniss is visited by President Snow who fears that she defied him a year ago during the games when she chose to die with Peeta. Both were declared the winners, fuelling a possible uprising. Snow decides to enact what is known as the Quarter Quell; the right to make a change to the Hunger Games, which he is allowed to do every 25 years. He decides to hold an edition of the Hunger Games wherein previous winners will compete again. Haymitch, their mentor, thinks their best chance to survive is form an alliance with some of the others.

Ron Woodroof, an electrician and rodeo cowboy with a devil-may-care lifestyle is blindsided with an HIV positive diagnosis and given 30 days to live. He finds a lack of approved medications in the U.S. and crosses the border into Mexico where he learns about alternative treatments and begins smuggling them into the U.S. Ron finds an unlikely ally in fellow AIDS patient and transsexual, Rayon. They establish a "buyers club", where HIV positive people pay monthly dues for access to the newly acquired supplies. Ron's pioneering collective beats loud and strong as he fights for dignity, education, and acceptance.
