Interstellar (R)

Planet Earth is dying a slow but inevitable death, and so astronaut Cooper (Matthew McConaughey) and scientist Brand (Anne Hathaway) venture into Outer Space in search of new life. Director Christopher Nolan fashions a movie that's equal parts Star Trek, Stephen Hawking and space opera. The end result is remarkable; Jessica Chastain co-stars.

Into The Woods (PG)

Based on Stephen Sondheim's mega-successful Broadway musical, director Rob Marshall connects the talents of Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt, Anna Kendrick, James Corden and Johnny Depp to an impressive array of special effects, costumes and thrilling production design. And Sondheim's dizzying songs aren't too bad, either!

The Imitation Game (PG 13)

The true story of World War 2 code cracker Alan Turing (Benedict Cumberbatch) is delivered with sensitivity and passion by Norwegian director Morten Tyldum. He is helped tremendously via exceptional acting from Cumberbatch (his best big screen performance to date) as well as from co-stars Keira Knightley and Matthew Goode.

The Hobbit: Battle of The Five Armies (PG 13)
