Construction started on this highly ornate building in the 1200s and it is one of the jewels of Croatian architecture. But it\u2019s worth it when you head inland to <a href=\"https:\/\/whc.unesco.org\/en\/list\/1240\/\"><strong>Stari Grad Plains<\/strong><\/a>. This jigsaw of white stone walls has remained practically untouched since the 4th century BCE. Local winemaker Antonio Lipanovi\u0107 is known for making the most of the resident grape. With tasting rooms inside former military tunnels, a visit to this winery is well worth <a href=\"https:\/\/lipanovic.com\/en\/contact\/\"><strong>booking in advance<\/strong><\/a>.
