Stay Connected at 35,000 Feet: Wi‑Fi Has Taken Off with Aer Lingus
There’s something exciting happening onboard Aer Lingus and it’s all about staying connected in the air!
We’ve officially launched high‑speed onboard Wi‑Fi, with our first fully Wi‑Fi‑enabled flight taking off from Dublin to New York JFK. It’s a big milestone for Aer Lingus, and the beginning of a new chapter in how you experience time in the sky.
Your time onboard, better connected
Whether you want to message loved ones, catch up on emails, stream your favourite show or simply make better use of your flight time, onboard Wi‑Fi opens up a whole new way to travel. No more waiting until you land — your journey can be productive, entertaining or perfectly social from take‑off to touchdown.

What to expect
We’ve partnered with Starlink to bring fast, reliable connectivity to our aircraft, delivering at‑home broadband‑style speeds in the air. Even better? The service will be free of charge for customers on aircraft equipped with the technology.
This is the start of an exciting rollout, beginning with our long‑haul fleet, with Wi‑Fi available across long‑haul aircraft by the end of 2026. While not every flight will have Wi‑Fi just yet, rollout will continue across the fleet, with short‑haul aircraft to follow in 2027 — all part of our journey to make connected travel the norm.
Designed around you
Ths isn’t about technology for technology’s sake — it’s about making your journey smoother, more enjoyable and more flexible. From staying in touch with family to streaming, gaming or working comfortably in the air, onboard Wi‑Fi gives you more choice in how you travel.
As a modern, customer‑first airline, Aer Lingus continues to invest in meaningful improvements that enhance every step of the journey. High‑speed connectivity is just the beginning.
So next time you fly, keep an eye out — your flight might be one of the first to enjoy a more connected experience in the skies.
