The big game: TCU Horned Frogs vs North Carolina Tar Heels

- Date: Saturday, 29 August 2026
- Venue: Aviva Stadium, Dublin, Ireland
The 2026 Aer Lingus College Football Classic features two powerhouses. Hailing from Fort Worth, Texas, the TCU Horned Frogs are known for their explosive play and passionate “Purple Nation” following.
Meanwhile, the North Carolina Tar Heels are one of the most storied athletic teams in the USA, coached by eight-time Super Bowl winning coach and legend Bill Belichick.
It’ll only be the fifth time these two teams have ever played each other and it’s also the first time either team has played internationally. That means we should expect the unexpected in Dublin’s Aviva Stadium this August!
As well as incredible sporting prowess, you’ll be entertained from start to finish with cheerleaders, marching bands and an unmissable half-time show.
