Aer Lingus Change for Good Ambassadors visit Sierra Leone with UNICEF

1 min read

We’ve been proud partners of UNICEF for 22 years. In that time, Aer Lingus guests and employees have generously raised over €21m, helping children in over 190 countries around the world.

Change for Good collects unused currency from guests, converting them into life-saving materials and services for vulnerable children.

Each year, Aer Lingus UNICEF Ambassadors are chosen to represent our cabin crew. These ambassadors travel with UNICEF to see first hand where the money raised on board their flights is making a difference to the lives of children in the developing world. This year, UNICEF Ambassadors Barbara Culleton, Caroline Flatley, Ger Stack, and Michel De Luca travelled to Sierra Leone.

Day 1: Living Water Centre, Waterloo.

Day 2: Girls Access to Education (GATE) School Programme, visits to Makeni, Masongbo and Magburaka.

Day 3: Binkolo Community Health Centre

Day 4: Visit to Kapteteh, Water Sanitation & Hygiene (WASH) programme
