When you’re taking a transatlantic flight, it’s good to know that your tummy is going to be well taken care of! We provide a delicious complimentary meal or you can choose from a selection of tempting pre-order meal options. Here you’ll find all the information you need on our delicious transatlantic dining.

Starts with beautiful Ballycotten smoked salmon, served with cucumber pickle and a lemon and dill aioli, accompanied by McCambridges Irish brown bread. This is followed by succulent fillet of beef served with gratin dauphinois, creamed spinach, mushrooms and a red wine jus. Dessert is a delicious Glenillen Farm raspberry panacotta. A Lily O’Brien sweet completes the meal along with tea/coffee. Served with a choice of red or white wine.

Starts with delicious salad including feta cheese, roasted pepper, aubergine and sunblushed tomato served with a harissa and lemon dressing. This is followed by sensational Irish darn of salmon served with a julienne of carrot, leek and courgette, Clodagh’s garlic and rosemary roasties and a dill sauce. Dessert is a delicious Glenillen Farm raspberry panacotta. A Lily O’Brien sweet completes the meal along with tea/coffee. Served with a choice of red or white wine.

Yes, tour operators and travel agents may pre-order a meal on flights booked on your behalf. They can do this on our aerlingus.com provided they booked the flights through it in the first place.

Your delicious meal options for flights within Europe start with an early Irish breakfast, an Aer Lingus customer favourite. We also have delicious fresh meal options that have been created in collaboration with Irish chef Clodagh McKenna. Go ahead and whet your appetite with our current bia pre-order menu!

  • Meal orders must be placed no later than 24 hours before the flight’s scheduled departure time. Orders can be placed while booking on aerlingus.com, or through the ‘Manage Booking’ facility if you already have an aerlingus.com reservation.
  • If there’s more than one passenger travelling, a separate meal order must be placed for each person.
  • After payment, you’ll receive a confirmation email containing a pre-order meal voucher.
  • To receive your meal on-board, simply present your voucher to a member of cabin crew during the flight.

Our Bia on-board menu has some tasty options on flights to San Francisco and Orlando. This includes special selections created in collaboration with Irish chef Clodagh McKenna. Using only the finest Irish ingredients and a twist of Clodagh flair, they certainly won’t disappoint.

If you’re travelling to or from the U.S., we can offer a range of meals to meet your special dietary requirements – see our list below to check them out. Unfortunately we can’t offer variations of these, and requests for specific items of food to suit personal preferences can’t be accepted.
You can request a special meal up to 24 hours before your flight departure time. All you've to do is contact your local reservations office and we'll be delighted to help you. Please check that you've got your booking reference to hand to make things easier.
When you’re on your flight, it's a good idea to let cabin crew know that you’ve ordered a special meal.
Trip Tip: Note the 4-letter code in the table below. This is the standard airline code for particular special meals and you'll notice this appearing in different places during the course of your trip.

Child’s Meal CHML If travelling with a small child, you may wish to order something that they will find more appealing.
Diabetic Meal DBML Prepared to facilitate passengers who may need to control their blood sugar levels. These meals exclude all sugars, syrups, jams, cakes and chocolate.
Gluten Intolerant Meal GFML Excludes wheat, barley, oats and rye. Accordingly, we don’t offer bread and pastries/cakes (unless wheat free) or any flour-based products.
*Kosher Meal KSML Prepared strictly in accordance with Jewish dietary laws.
Low Fat Meal LFML Prepared with the minimal of high fat content foods.
Low Lactose LLML Contains low levels of milk, cheese, cream, yoghurts or any other dairy product or derivative.
Low Salt LSML Prepared using produce with no salt, MSG or baking powder/soda added during preparation.
Moslem Meal MOML Doesn’t contain pork, alcohol or derivatives of these products.
Vegetarian Lacto-Ovo Meal VLML Doesn’t contain any meat, poultry, or seafood. It may, however, include dairy products such as milk, butter or cheese.
Vegetarian Vegan Meal VGML Doesn’t contain any dairy products, meat, poultry, or seafood.

*If you’re travelling in our business class cabin your request for (KSML) must be made at least 48hrs prior to flight departure.

While we don’t serve peanuts or derivatives as part of snacks or meals, there may be trace elements of unspecified peanut ingredients (including peanut oils) in meals and snacks. Regrettably, we cannot offer a special meal that is nut/peanut-free. We also can’t prevent other passengers from bringing nut-based products on board and consuming them during the course of a flight and therefore strongly encourage customers with allergies to take all necessary medical precautions to prepare for the possibility of exposure.

If you suffer from a peanut allergy, please make our cabin crew aware of this whilst you’re boarding.
