The Airport in Milan

Aer Lingus fly into two of Milan's Airports:

Malpensa Airport

Malpensa is Milan's main international airport. It is well connected to the city:

  • By train: The Malpensa Express links the airport to the centre of Milan. Trains run twice each hour from 5am to 11.30pm. It will get you to the city in less than an hour.
  • By bus: There are a number of bus companies operating buses from the airport to the city centre regularly. You can book Terravision bus tickets online or in person on the day.

Milan Linate Airport

Aer Lingus also fly into the smaller of Milan's airports which is used for domestic and short haul flights. This airport is only 8km from the city centre so getting there is easy:

  • By bus: the ATM bus 73 travels from the airport to the city from early morning until after midnight. There are also a number of coach services to the city.
  • By taxi: you can book a taxi in advance to take you to your accommodation or there is a taxi stand on the ground floor of the airport in the arrivals hall.

When to fly to Milan?

Like every Italian city, Milan will be busier in summer but it is a wonderful time to visit if you want to make the most of its beautiful parks and outdoor areas. In winter, there are lots of art galleries and indoor shopping malls to enjoy. Taking in a show at Milan's most prestigious theatre La Scala shouldn't be missed, no matter what time of year you travel.
