Why Visit Malaga?
"Ciudad del paraíso", the paradise city. This is how the Nobel Prize winner for literature, Vicente Aleixandre, described Malaga. A city that vibrates with life and fascinates with its mixture of ancient history, folklore and modern culture. And of course, it is easy to imagine paradise in this harbour city with nearly 3.000 hours of sunshine a year and several kilometres of beach right in the centre.
The city centre is only around six miles from Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport. From there, it’s easy to reach anywhere along the Costa del Sol. You can catch a train to Malaga (the journey takes around 10 minutes), or alternatively, you can hop on a bus (the journey takes from 15 minutes to half an hour). Both of these options depart every half hour, and you’ll be treated to plenty of scenery along the way. An easier option, of course, is to hop in a taxi.
