Lanzarote Airport

Lanzarote Airport (ACE) is located near the island's capital. The local bus (n. 22) stops right outside the Arrivals Hall, and the journey to Arrecife takes around 15 to 25 minutes. The shuttle service runs to the airport from 6.55am to 10.30pm, and to the city from 7am to 10.40pm.

Taxis and car rental companies, like Avis and Europcar, are represented at the airport. It is strongly suggested to avoid taxis from points other than the official taxi rank.

Public Transport

Distances on the island of Lanzarote are not great, and getting about by local bus is easy. Most places of interest are accessible by local transport, and all resorts are reached via Arrecife. There are plenty of taxis in the large tourist resorts, but remember that public transport is good and often significantly cheaper, and that you can easily rent a car here.

It is strongly recommended to use only official taxis, recognisable by their white and red cars. You can always find some of them in their ranks, usually located near the central station of the city.
