Cabin/Carry-On Baggage Allowance
Aer Lingus flights (Shorthaul and Longhaul)

- Baggage is restricted to one piece per passenger.
- The maximum dimensions for a cabin bag are: 55cm x 40cm x 20cm or 22in x 16in x 8in.
- Baggage must weigh under 10 kgs/22lbs and be small enough to fit in overhead bins or under your seat.
- These limits are strictly enforced.
- Additional small items (camera, personal stereo, overcoat, handbag or laptop) are allowed.
- EU security rules regarding liquids, gels and aerosols in cabin baggage apply. Details of these rules can be found here: Prohibited Items.
- Flights departing the USA are subject to TSA security rules. Details of these rules can be found by clicking here: tsa.gov.
- Passengers in Row 1, or at an emergency exit, MUST store baggage in an overhead bin.
Aer Lingus Regional flights (Flight Nos 3000-4000 operated by Aer Arann)

- Baggage is restricted to one piece per passenger.
- The maximum dimensions for a cabin bag are: 48cm x 36cm x 21cm or 19in x 14in x 8in.
- Baggage must weigh under 7kgs/15lbs and be small enough to fit in overhead bins or under your seat.
- These limits are strictly enforced.
- Additional small items (camera, personal stereo, overcoat, handbag or laptop) are allowed.
- EU security rules regarding liquids, gels and aerosols in cabin baggage apply. Details of these rules can be found here: Prohibited Items.
- Passengers in Row 1, or at an emergency exit, MUST store baggage in an overhead bin.
Web check-in availability
Web check-in is currently available for:
- All flights to and from Ireland and the United Kingdom.
- All flights from Ireland to Continental Europe.
- All flights to and from Ireland and the USA with the exception flights departing from Orlando.
- All flights from Alicante, Athens, Barcelona, Berlin, Bilbao, Bologna, Bordeaux, Brussels, Bucharest, Budapest, Catania/Sicily, Dubrovnik, Düsseldorf, Faro Algarve, Fuerteventura, Geneva, Gran Canaria, Hamburg, Helsinki, Ibiza, Izmir*, Krakow, Lanzarote, Lisbon, Lyon, Madrid, Malaga, Marseille, Milan/Linate, Munich, Nice, Palma Majorca, Paris, Perpignan, Prague, Rome, Salzburg, Stuttgart, Tenerife, Toulouse, Venice, Vienna, Vilnius, Warsaw and Zurich.
- After you Check-in online you can proceed directly to the Bag Tag and Drop desk where your checked luggage can be processed. Please note that Bag Tag and Drop off desks are not available at all airports.
- Seats are automatically assigned for all passengers. To change your seats, click the 'Change Seats' button on the 'Seating' page.
- Passengers travelling from the USA with Web boarding passes must present themselves at the dedicated Web check-in counter at the airport at least 45 minutes prior to their scheduled departure time.
