US Customs and Immigration

From April 3rd 2013 all passengers travelling to New York (JFK) will now pre-clear US Customs and Immigration at either Dublin or Shannon airport before departure.

Whether New York is your final destination or you are connecting with jetBlue to other North American destinations this will ensure speedier progress through Terminal 5 on arrival at JFK Airport.

Passengers bound for New York (JFK) should ideally check-in 3 hours before the scheduled departure time (check-in will close 75 minutes before scheduled departure time) and follow airport signage for the US pre-clearance facility. The entrance to the US pre-clearance facility is adjacent to gate 408 at Dublin Terminal 2.

A gate number will be advised on the Flight Information Display screens on exiting the pre-clearance area.

Please note that from 31 March 2013 to 26 October 2013  the following flights to the US pre-clear US Customs and Immigration in Terminal 2 (Dublin) before departure:

Please review the US CBP pre-clearance requirements before arriving at the airport.

After check-in, passengers on these flights should follow airport signage for the US pre-clearance facility. The entrance to the US pre-clearance facility is adjacent to gate 408. Please proceed to the facility not later than 90-minutes before Departure.

A gate number will be advised on the Flight Information Display screens on exiting the Preclearance area.

Please note: Duty free goods including cigarettes and alcohol cannot be sold on-board flights which pre-clear US Customs and Immigration.

Please note that from from 31 March 2013 to 26 October 2013 the following flights clear US Customs and Immigration on arrival in the US, i.e. these flights are not subject to pre-clearance at an Irish airport.

Please proceed to the published Boarding Gate not less than 45-minutes before Departure.

After check-in passengers on these flights should make their way to the designated gate as shown on their Boarding Card and also displayed on the airport Flight Information Display screens.
