EI109 - US immigration
Aer Lingus flight EI109 to New York (JFK) will operate from Terminal 1 until further notice. Customers should continue to present for departure at Terminal 1.
The US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) unit at Dublin Airport is now located in Terminal 2 and pre-inspection facilities are no longer available for airlines in Terminal 1.
Aer Lingus passengers travelling to the United States on EI109 to New York (JFK) will be required to clear immigration upon arrival in the US rather than on departure from Dublin. This short-term situation will add up to an hour at the arrival airport as passengers will need to join the line at immigration after disembarking from the aircraft. The time to clear immigration will vary by airport, please see the table below for details.
|Airport||Estimated time to clear immigration||Passengers connecting to another flight|
|New York||30 minutes||We do not envisage any problems|
After clearing immigration you can collect your baggage and proceed through customs in the normal manner.
The added time at immigration may impact on the ability of some passengers to connect with another airline upon arrival in the US. Passengers with concerns about onward flights should contact our call centre in Ireland on 0818 365 044, or the travel agent if the booking was made with a travel agency.
Aer Lingus regrets any inconvenience caused during the migration of our trans-Atlantic operation into Terminal 2.
