Since April 3, 2013, your travel experience got an upgrade! We moved to JetBlue’s award-winning Terminal 5 at JFK Airport! Renowned for its customer experience, service and concessions, T5 features the latest and greatest, including free Wi-Fi, 24 food and beverage outlets and 27 retail shops. With so much to see and do, your journey begins before you step onto the plane!
Aer Lingus will have its own dedicated area within the terminal, allowing for easy check in, baggage handling and seamless connections.

John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) is located in the southeastern section of Queens County, New York City, 15 miles by highway from midtown Manhattan. Directions.
Effective April 3, 2013, Aer Lingus will arrive into and depart from Terminal 5 at JFK airport. While known as JetBlue’s T5, Aer Lingus will have its own dedicated area within the terminal, allowing for easy check in, baggage handling and seamless connections.
The award-winning, state-of-the-art Terminal 5 offers great features and amenities, including:
- Up to 15 security lanes
- 26 gates with seats aplenty
- Free Wi-Fi
- 55,000 sq. feet of great food and shopping, including 24 food & beverage outlets and 27 retail outlets
- Large children’s play area and much more!
Please check-in three hours prior to your scheduled departure time. Check in desks open at 2:00pm at the south end of Terminal 5.
Business class passengers and Gold Circle members are invited to our temporary lounge located at Gate One in Terminal 5.
Connecting with JetBlue
Effective April 3, 2013, customers connecting to or from a JetBlue flight will arrive and depart from Terminal 5. Baggage will be transferred to your final destination allowing you to enjoy all that Terminal 5 has to offer.
Connecting to/from other carriers
Traveling To USA
All Aer Lingus flights will arrive into Terminal 5. If you are connecting from Aer Lingus to another airline please follow the signs for the AirTrain and transfer to your connecting flight terminal. Your bags will be transferred to the connecting carrier and will be ready for pick up at your final destination. Terminal transfers between terminals via AirTrain are free of charge.
Traveling to Ireland
If the airline you began your travel with has checked your bags to your final destination all you need to do is follow the signs for the AirTrain and transfer to Terminal 5. Your bags will be transferred to Terminal 5 and will be ready for pick up at your final destination. If you have separate tickets pick up your bags and follow the signs for AirTrain to transfer to Terminal 5. Aer Lingus is located at the South end of the terminal. Check in desks open at 2.00 pm. Terminal transfers between terminals via AirTrain are free of charge.
Buses, taxis and shuttle vans are available at the arrivals level.
Subway and AirTrain
Take the E, J or Z subway lines to Jamaica (Sutphin-Archer Avenue station) or the A subway line to Howard Beach station. From there, take the AirTrain to Terminal 5/6. The AirTrain fare to/from the airport terminals and the Jamaica or Howard Beach stations is $5 per person.
Long Island Rail Road (LIRR)
Take the Long Island Rail Road commuter rail service from Long Island and New York City to Jamaica station. From there, take the AirTrain to Terminal 5/6. The AirTrain fare to/from the airport terminals and the Jamaica or Howard Beach stations is $5 per person.
Located near the Van Wyck Expressway and Belt Parkway.
Please park at the parking garage at Terminal 5/6 (the yellow lot) and follow the signs for the skywalk to T5.
Kiss 'n' Fly
Avoid parking costs and airport traffic. Get dropped off and picked up at the free "Kiss 'n' fly" lot, located at the Lefferts Boulevard exit off the Van Wyck Expressway. From there, customers can take the Airtrain and ride free to all airport terminals.
Cell phone lot
If you're picking someone up from T5, save gas and tedious circling by pulling into the cell phone lot, located off the Federal Circle exit of the Van Wyck Expressway. The traveler can then call as soon as they land.
