Dublin Airport is conveniently located approximately 10 km north of Dublin city centre, near the M50 and M1 motorways. You can get to the airport by bus, taxi, or car, and there are also services from nearby train stations.
All Aer Lingus flights to mainland Europe, London Heathrow, London Gatwick, Birmingham, Manchester, New York, Boston, Chicago and Orlando depart and arrive Terminal 2 Dublin Airport. Departing passengers are required to check-in at one of the 28 Aer Lingus check-in desks on the ground floor and then proceed to the Departures area on the second floor for security screening and access to the Departure gates. The Arrivals area in terminal 2 is located on the first floor of the building.
From 01 May 2013 the majority of Aer Lingus Regional flights to the UK will also operate to and from Dublin Terminal 2.
Long Haul Routes (Depart or arrive outside Europe): 3 hours 30 Mins before departure*
Short Haul Routes (Depart and arrive within Europe) : 2 hours 30 Mins before departure*
*Check-in for all short-haul flights closes 45 minutes prior to departure.
*Check-in for Economy Class on all long-haul flights closes 75 minutes prior to departure.
*Check-in for Business Class on all long-haul flights closes 60 minutes prior to departure.
Passengers travelling in Aer Lingus Business Class or Gold Circle Club members are eligible to use the Lounge facilities. To access the lounges proceed through the security check and retail area and take the escalator down. Turn right 180 degrees after disembarking the escalator and follow the corridor to Airline Lounges.
You will be arriving at one of four piers A,B,C or D. After disembarking the aircraft you should proceed through immigration to the baggage reclaim area. If you already have a boarding card for your connecting flight, and your baggage has been tagged to your final destination, you simply go to the boarding gate via the transfer area located at the top of the stairs beside baggage belt 1.
If your baggage has not been tagged for final destination you must collect it, clear customs, exit baggage reclaim and proceed to Aer Lingus check-in. If you are travelling onwards with Aer Lingus to mainland Europe or the USA you must proceed to Terminal 2.If you have any further queries or need further assistance please go to the Aer Lingus Transfer desk which is located in the baggage reclaim area, where our staff will be glad to help.
Connecting at Dublin Airport (Terminal 2)
- Walk from Arrivals Pier towards Baggage Claim hall, turn left and then right.
- If transferring to Terminal 1, continue straight ahead.
- Pass through Passport Control.
- Take escalator up to Departures level.
- Proceed through security check and through retail area.
- Take escalator down.
- Disembark escalator and continue straight ahead to your gate.
