Customers may select seats in advance using the interactive seatmap while making your booking online. With the exception of Saver fare bookings, seats on transatlantic flights may be selected free of charge. An extra seat fee will apply for the selection of Choice and Exit Row seats in our Economy Cabin.

Changing a booking usually incurs a change fee, plus any difference in cost between the original price paid and the price available at the time the change is being made. Each situation is dependent upon the rules and restrictions of the ticket originally purchased.

Bookings made via our Customer Services Center or which include travel on our partner airlines cannot be changed online. Please contact us and our agents will be happy to assist.

If you have booked through a travel agent or another website, we recommend that you contact the original sales agent to make changes.

Flights booked on aerlingus.com can be managed online to make itinerary changes, select seats, pre-book bags and enter advance passenger information.

For transatlantic travel, you can use web check-in between 2 and 24 hours before your scheduled departure time.

Recommended check-in time for flight from/to North America is 3 hours before departure. If you are unable to check online, please allow sufficient time for check-in and security screening queues, especially during the peak summer season and busy holiday periods. Transatlantic check-in closes 75 minutes before departure.

On transatlantic services, all customers may bring may bring one piece of cabin baggage and one personal item onboard free of charge. Customers purchasing an Economy Class 'Saver' fare will incur fees for all checked baggage. Customers purchasing an Economy Class 'Smart' or 'Flex' fare may check one piece of baggage free of charge. Customers purchasing a transatlantic Business Class fare may check three pieces of baggage free of charge. Maximum dimensions and weight allowances apply for all cabin and checked baggage. Fees apply for additional bags and excess weight.

For Aer Lingus journeys between North America and the U.K. or Continental Europe, the transatlantic checked baggage allowance will apply for all flights within a single itinerary or reservation. Relevant European or transatlantic policies shall apply to itineraries booked as separate reservations.

Enjoy complimentary on-demand in-flight entertainment with your personal in-flight entertainment system which allows you to control what you would like to watch, listen to or play.

Yes, the use of laptop computers is permitted during the cruising phase of the flight.

All business class seats feature at-seat power ports and USB charging ports. Power is available in economy on all our A330 aircraft, but not on our 757 fleet. Depending on the aircraft, USB or AC power may be available.

In our transatlantic Economy Class cabin, customers enjoy a complimentary meal and soft drinks as well as a pre-arrival snack. Alcoholic beverages may be purchased onboard.

In our transatlantic Business Class we serve the finest choice of restaurant quality food and drinks on custom made Wedgwood China. Wines are specially chosen and matched to each entrée to bring out the full flavour of the meal.

For both cabins, kiddies meals and special dietary requests should be made by contacting us at least 24 hours in advance of flight departure.

Yes, Wi-Fi is available to purchase on our A330 Aircraft and will work with any of your Wi-Fi enabled devices. Wi-Fi is complimentary with our Business Class fares.

Connecting baggage will be checked through to your final destination provided your journey is on the same ticket or booking reference.

When you land follow the signs for Flight Connections. Please have your entire documentation (passport and boarding card) ready for inspection. If you do not have a boarding pass visit the Aer Lingus desk at the Flight Connections area for assistance. Proceed through Flight Connections. Having identified your gate number from your boarding pass follow the signage and proceed to your departure gate.

For a smooth connection between flights, it is important to give yourself enough time between the arrival of your first flight and the departure of your next flight. The connections that are displayed when booking on our website meet our criteria for minimum connect time.

Some suggested minimum connect times are:

  • 60 minutes - from Aer Lingus North America to Aer Lingus Europe flights
  • 60 minutes - from Aer Lingus Europe to Aer Lingus Canada flights
  • 75 minutes - from Aer Lingus Europe to Aer Lingus USA flights
  • 120 minutes - for all flight connections within Europe
  • 120 minutes - for all flight connections between Aer Lingus and other carriers

Note: The above are general guidelines and may be subject to change or may differ on specific routes.

If your itinerary is booked on separate tickets, it is your responsibility to ensure sufficient time to collect baggage, travel to next terminal, check-in for your onward journey before it closes, clear security, and be at your departure gate at least 30 minutes before your connecting flight departure time.

Our recommended check-in times are 2 hours for flights within Europe and 3 hours for transatlantic flights. (Check-in closes 75 minutes before flight departure time for Economy Class and 60 minutes for Business Class).
