Remember, unless you fill in all fields correctly (from, to, dates, number of passengers and class) your booking cannot proceed.
If your travel dates are flexible, you can see a calendar display of available dates and fares by choosing the 'Flexible' option.
We may not travel every day to your desired destination. If you choose dates that we do not fly on, you will receive a message informing you on what days we do operate.

If you are on a round trip, make sure you select an outbound and an inbound flight by clicking on the circle that relates to your desired flight.
To view flights/fares on alternate days click 'Previous Day', 'Next Day'.
If you click on the linked flight number (in green) in the flight information column, you can see the flight details.


Price

This is where the specific details of your chosen journey are displayed.
Price Total includes all relevant taxes and charges.
Please read the fare rules applicable by clicking on the link under the heading 'Restrictions/Endorsements. In order to continue to the Passenger Information page, you must accept the fare rules by clicking in the box.
When you click 'Continue' on the Price page you may see a browser security message. This is simply informing you that you are entering a secure area of the site. Your browser can be configured to display this message or not, as you choose.

This is where you fill in all your personal details, please note:
This page must be completed within 7 minutes or you will be 'timed out'.
Required fields are marked with an asterisk (*) and must be completed to proceed.
Certain characters are not accepted, namely: comma (,), oblique (/), apostrophe ('), hyphen (-).

Special meal requests - Aer Lingus offers special meals for children and to meet passengers' specific dietary needs on our flights to/from the USA. To request a special meal, please contact our Helpdesk +353 818 365011 (Europe), or 516 622 4222 (U.S.A.) and advise a flight attendant onboard that you have pre-ordered a special meal. Meals can be requested up to 24 hours prior to departure.
Email notification - Please ensure you key in your e-mail address correctly and that your account is active, as your confirmation e-mail will be sent to this address.


Payment Details

Select a number of checked bags that you wish to pre-book per passenger. Do not include sports equipment when indicating a number of checked bags. Please select them separately.
A maximum of 9 bags can be booked online per passenger. Please note that a total weight of checked bags must not exceed 20kgs/44lbs per passenger excluding infants.
Any checked bags exceeding the maximum weight allowable will be charged excess baggage fees.
Cabin baggage must weigh less than 6 kgs/13 lbs in total carried in one bag per passenger. The maximum dimensions for a cabin bag are 56cms x 45cms x 25cms or 22in x 18in x 10in.
A buggy/stroller is carried free of charge.
All medical equipment, e.g. dialysis machines and wheelchairs, is carried free of charge.
Passengers can travel with a maximum of 1 sports equipment item per passenger excluding infants.
The maximum weight allowable for carriage of sports equipment is 15kgs/33lbs.
If the weight exceeds this limit, passenger will be charged excess baggage fees in addition to the flat rate charge.
Great value insurance from Mondial Assistance Group is automatically added to your booking.
Click 'Remove Insurance' if you already have insurance, or if this insurance is not suitable.
Card Information section - please ensure that you have filled in all the required fields marked with an * in the card information section.

Purchase

Ensure that all your details are correct on this page.
If you would like to book a car for your travel (with our partners Hertz), you can do so by adding your preferred car to your booking.
Click 'More Cars' link if you would like to view more cars available.
Please note that you will be billed separately for your car and flight transactions. You will receive a car confirmation email, from our partners Hertz, in addition to your flight booking email.
Click in the box at the end of the page to allow us (and our partners Hertz if you are booking a car) to debit your payment card and then click on 'Purchase'.
Please wait a few moments to allow this transaction to go through. Do not click on 'Purchase' more than once.


Booking Confirmation

The confirmation page confirms all your details. We recommend that you print this page and keep it for your records. An email will be sent to you confirming your flight details and fare information. When you click on the Go to Homepage button, you will be returned to the Home Page.
If you have booked a car with our partners Hertz, please contact Hertz directly for any queries or updates to your car booking.

Full details of your insurance policy will be emailed to your email address from Mondial Assistance Group. If you do not receive it or have any queries regarding your policy, please contact Mondial Assistance Group Customer Service. Their contact details can be found via Travel Insurance link on the homepage.

aerlingus.com displays the lowest available fare for your selected travel dates at the time of booking. If you are not satisfied with the fare displayed, you may like to read the following points and adjust your schedule if appropriate.


Avoid peak travel

As you would expect, the lowest fares sell quickly on peak time flights. Try and take flights at the quieter times such as mid-morning or early afternoon. Avoid travelling on Monday mornings, Friday evenings, Sunday afternoons, or Bank Holidays if you want the lowest fares.

Consider alternative travel dates

If sale fares are not available on your selected travel dates and your travel dates are flexible, you can see a calendar display of available dates and fares by choosing the 'Flexible' option.

Sign up as a Site Member

Sign up as a Site Member from the homepage for e-mail notification of last-minute travel discounts and other special low fare offers.

Economy / Low Fare

  • No refund at any time.
  • Itinerary change fee will apply. Fare difference must be paid if the new fare is higher than the original fare booked.

Flexible / Flexifare

  • No itinerary change fee will apply.
  • The full price of the ticket (minus administration fee) is refundable prior to the flight scheduled departure time.
  • Flexible tickets can be changed to a different departure time/date and to/from the same destination. No fare difference to be paid if the new fare is higher than the original fare booked.
  • For FlexiFare holders we waive the late check-in Fee (on day of departure only).
  • Flexible tickets can be changed to another destination and/or another date of departure at no additional charge. Fare difference must be paid if the new fare is higher than the original fare booked.
  • 2 checked bags (excluding excess weight) can be booked free of charge.
  • Seats can be booked with no additional cost for any economy seats.
  • Gold Circle Points are awarded when you are travelling on any Aer Lingus scheduled flights.

Business

  • No itinerary change fee will apply.
  • Fare difference must be paid if the new fare is higher than the original fare booked.
  • The full price of the ticket (minus cancellation/administration fee) is refundable at any time.
