1. Membership and Enrolment
The Aer Lingus Frequent Flyer Programme is only open to qualified members of the Gold Circle Club (hereinafter called "Member" or "Members"). Gold Circle Club membership will be deemed to have taken place when a valid membership card is issued to the Member.
Persons wishing to become a Member of the Gold Circle Club must first register their application via the Gold Circle Club section on this website. All such Gold Circle Club Applicants (hereinafter called "Applicant" or "Applicants") will be issued with a Gold Circle Club Application Number (hereinafter called "Application Number") and must use this to log their subsequent flight activity online until such time as they have reached the membership threshold as detailed in paragraph 7.2 (below).
Children under 12 years of age, staff of Aer Lingus and associated companies, airline or travel agency staff are not eligible for membership of the Gold Circle Club.
Staff of companies who, through sales agreements with Aer Lingus, travel on discounted tickets may not in their own right become Members of the Gold Circle Club, or earn loyalty points with any of our partners without the written consent of Aer Lingus.
Aer Lingus may terminate membership of the Gold Circle Club if the Member:
- Violates the conditions of membership.
- Makes material misrepresentations.
- Has committed misconduct on board an aircraft or in the lounges.
Aer Lingus reserves the right, without giving reason at its sole discretion, to rescind or refuse membership of the Gold Circle Club.
Members and Applicants must inform Aer Lingus immediately of any changes in their personal details. These changes can only be made by Members or Applicants logging on to their account via the Aer Lingus website to update their details.
Applicants must log their flight activity online when making their flight booking. All Applicants will be issued with Gold Circle Club Application Points (hereinafter called "Application Points") to track their activity until such time as they become Members. All Application Points are deemed to be of no value and cannot be redeemed for awards either with Aer Lingus or its partners. Once an Applicant has qualified as a Member the number of Application Points needed for membership will be given Gold Circle Club Status and converted into Gold Circle Points, which will then be eligible for flight and other redemptions in accordance with these terms and conditions.
Membership will terminate automatically upon the death of a Member and Gold Circle Points accumulated but unused at time of death will be cancelled.
2. Gold Circle Points
Members are eligible to receive Gold Circle Points for travel in eligible booking classes on Aer Lingus, and our partners scheduled services provided that the flight is registered for Gold Circle Points as set out in paragraph 3 below. The number of Gold Circle Points will vary depending on the route flown and the fare paid. Full details of Gold Circle Points are available in the Gold Circle section of this website.
Members are eligible to receive Applicant Points for travel in eligible booking classes on Aer Lingus. The number of Applicant Points will vary depending on the route flown and the fare paid. Full details of Points are available in the Gold Circle section of this website.
Gold Circle Points are awarded in respect of transactions completed by the individual Member only. Application Points are awarded in respect of transactions completed by the Applicant only.
Gold Circle Points are also awarded to Members when they use the specified services of any one of the Aer Lingus Gold Circle Club Partners and register these transactions for Gold Circle Points following the instructions of the Gold Circle Club Partner.
Full details of our Gold Circle Club Partners together with the applicable terms and conditions can be found in the Gold Circle section of this website. The terms and conditions of the Gold Circle Club will also apply to Gold Circle Club Partner Rewards.
Gold Circle Club Partner agreements are subject to change/termination and Aer Lingus will give such notice of any change/termination as is reasonably practicable in the circumstances on this website. Aer Lingus is not liable for any unclaimed benefits under the Gold Circle Club's Partner agreements in excess of one month after the agreement ceases.
Gold Circle Points have no cash value. Gold Circle Points are not transferable or combinable with another Member's Points.
For Partner Airline Promotions you must fly in the same itinerary on at least one Aer Lingus scheduled service and connect onto the required number of flights defined in the promotion conditions. Regardless of the number of qualifying trips that you take, bonus points will only be awarded once per member. The bonus points will be awarded on the Aer Lingus Gold Circle points only earned in your qualifying journey. Travel must be commenced and completed within the validity period stated and the required number of flight must be flown within the same booked itinerary. This offer is only valid for Aer Lingus Gold Circle members.
3. Recording Flights
Members will receive a membership card that includes a membership number The Gold Circle Club membership number or the Applicants Application Number must be quoted by the Member at time of booking their flight either at www.aerlingus.com or when booking through another channel.
Members may only register individual flights under one Frequent Flyer programme. Applicants may log their activity on Aer Lingus flights only.
Members will only be awarded Gold Circle Points for travel on tickets showing a valid fare in an eligible class. To identify your booking class, please see Earning Points on Aer Lingus Flights.

Gold Circle Club Travel Reward tickets, children's fares, discounted fares and designated special promotions/fares (see Gold Circle Section for further details), spouse fares, charters, inclusive tours, free or complimentary tickets are not eligible for Gold Circle Points.

Members and Applicants are advised to retain original flight coupons and boarding passes relating to travel on Aer Lingus and/or Gold Circle Club Partner transactions. In the event that transactions have not been recorded on a specific statement, the transactions can be credited from the date of enrolment or up to three months from the date of the transaction, whichever is the later date:
For Aer Lingus flights
By recording the ticket and flight details on the Missing Flights form that is accessible through the e-mail statement or by using the "Add Missing Flights" link which can be found under Earning Your Points in the Gold Circle section of this website.
For Airline Partner flights
By recording the ticket and flight details on the Missing Flights form that is accessible through the e-mail statement.
For Gold Circle Partners
By submitting the Gold Circle Club Partner invoice to: Gold Circle Club, Partner Administration, Head Office, Aer Lingus, Dublin Airport.
Aer Lingus flights used prior to registering as a Gold Circle Applicant will not qualify for application points. After registration application points will be awarded for future travel on Aer Lingus tickets showing a valid fare/class in your name. Once 2,400 points (excluding bonus points) are earned from travelling on Aer Lingus flights within a 12 month period, you would qualify as a Gold Circle Club member and a card would be forwarded to you.
4. Validity of Gold Circle Points
Except in the circumstances outlined in paragraph 4.2 below, all Gold Circle Points credited to a Member's account are fully redeemable for a period not exceeding 36 months from the date of the transaction, subject to the Gold Circle Club remaining in operation. Gold Circle Points unredeemed after 36 months will automatically be cancelled without further notice, i.e. in month 37, Gold Circle Points earned in month 1 will have no further value. Members will be informed of Gold Circle Points due for elimination on the Gold Circle e-mail statement.
If an Applicant does not log the minimum Application Points for Gold Circle Club qualification within 12 months from the date of application then the oldest Application Points - i.e. those logged in the first month - will be automatically cancelled to maintain a rolling 12-month application period. Cancelled Application Points will not be reinstated.
5. Gold Circle Club Rewards
Members may claim Gold Circle Travel Rewards and Gold Circle Partner Rewards (collectively "Gold Circle Rewards") against accumulated Gold Circle Points. The appropriate number of Gold Circle Points required to claim a Gold Circle Reward are detailed in the Gold Circle section of this website.
Gold Circle Travel Rewards
Once issued, Gold Circle Travel Rewards are non-transferable/non-refundable/non-exchangeable and may not be sold. Redeemed Gold Circle Points will not be re-credited to the Member's account.
Once Gold Circle Travel Reward tickets on Aer Lingus services have been issued, there is a change fee applicable to any alterations.
Once Gold Circle Travel Reward tickets on any of the Gold Circle Club airline partner services have been issued, no changes are permitted regardless of the class of ticket.
It is not possible to supplement Gold Circle Points with cash to claim a Gold Circle Travel Reward, nor is it possible to add Gold Circle Points towards the payment of an Aer Lingus revenue ticket.
Aer Lingus reserves the right, at its discretion, to amend Gold Circle Travel Rewards and the number of Gold Circle Points required for redemption.
Gold Circle Travel Rewards may be claimed, subject to Gold Circle availability, on Aer Lingus and our Gold Circle Club airline partners scheduled services. All Travel Rewards are subject to applicable taxes, fees and charges.
Members wishing to avail of Gold Circle Travel Rewards on Aer Lingus services can only make a reservation via the Gold Circle section of this website. Reservations on Gold Circle Club partner services can be made by contacting Gold Circle Reservations at:

One-way Gold Circle Reward flights may be redeemed using the same number of Gold Circle Points as a return flight.
Infants under 2 years of age accompanied by adults will be charged the applicable infant fare.
Gold Circle Points may only be redeemed by the qualifying Member.
Gold Circle Partner Rewards
When booking Gold Circle Partner Rewards, Members must contact the relevant Gold Circle Partner directly to make the booking. When placing the booking, Members must advise the Gold Circle Partner that they are making a Gold Circle Reward booking before they can confirm availability. A booking reference number will then be issued. The Member must then contact Gold Circle Administration and quote this booking reference number allowing 14 days for processing. A Gold Circle Partner voucher will be issued to the Member, which should be presented when fulfilling the booking. Failure to comply with these requirements may result in the booking being cancelled.
Once issued under the Gold Circle Partner Reward Programme, vouchers may not be altered or issued to another person. Vouchers are non-exchangeable and non-refundable.
Gold Circle Partner Rewards are subject to availability.
6. Gold Circle Statements
Members will be provided with a monthly Gold Circle statement by e-mail. The Gold Circle statement will list Gold Circle Points credited to the Members' account or Gold Circle Points redeemed against Gold Circle Rewards and advise the Member if any points are due for elimination. If you are an applicant member, you will not receive a statement until you reach Gold Circle status.
Any Member may request not to receive correspondence from the Gold Circle Club. Such Members may login and check their account balances or check current programme information online in the Gold Circle section of this website.
Aer Lingus accepts no responsibility for Members failure to receive statements due to a Member's failure to provide a valid e-mail address or to any server technical obstruction/security that prevents receipt of a statement.
7. Gold Circle Club
Gold Circle Club membership may not be purchased or renewed in exchange for cash.
Membership of the Gold Circle Club is subject to a Member earning a minimum number of Gold Circle Points on Aer Lingus or in any period of 12 consecutive months. Bonus points and points earned on Gold Circle non-air Partner transactions are not included for this purpose. Details of the minimum number of Gold Circle Points needed can be found on the Gold Circle section of this website.
Membership of the Gold Circle Prestige Club and Gold Circle Elite Club is based on Gold Circle Points earned on Aer Lingus and our Gold Circle Club partner scheduled flights in any period of 12 consecutive months. Bonus points and points earned with Gold Circle Non-Air Partners may not be included for this purpose. Details of the number of Gold Circle Points needed for Elite and Prestige tier membership can be found on the Gold Circle section of this website.
Gold Circle Elite Club Members when travelling on full fare tickets are guaranteed seats on all Aer Lingus flights provided the reservation is made up to 24 hours before departure. This facility is available to a maximum of two Elite Members per flight.
Companion tickets for Gold Circle Elite Club Members are limited to one companion ticket per year. Companion tickets are valid on Aer Lingus scheduled services only and subject to seat availability, and are valid only for travel in the class for which the Elite Member has paid a full fare.
Gold Circle Elite Club upgrades are subject to Gold Circle Reward inventory being available.
Membership of the Gold Circle Club, Gold Circle Prestige Club and Gold Circle Elite Club is for a period of 12 months from the date of qualification and will only be renewed for a further 12-month period if the Member continues to comply with the relevant qualifying criteria in force at the expiry date of their current membership. If a Member fails to earn enough points to have their Gold Circle Club membership renewed, they can renew their membership by redeeming 2,400 Gold Circle Points, provided that:
- they have sufficient points in their own account, and,
- the renewal is for the 12 month period immediately following expiry of the current Gold Circle Club membership.
Members are allowed access to airport lounges as set out in the Gold Circle section of the Aer Lingus website.
Any special benefits arising as a result of membership of Gold Circle Elite Club or Gold Circle Prestige Club must be claimed in the same year as entitlement to that benefit arose.
8. Data Protection
Aer Lingus reserves the right to change the terms and conditions of the Gold Circle Programme without prior notice. These changes may include alterations to Gold Circle Rewards and/or the Gold Circle Points required for Gold Circle Rewards. Details of any changes will be advised in the Gold Circle section of the Aer Lingus website.
Aer Lingus reserves the right to terminate the Gold Circle Programme at any time but will use its reasonable endeavours to give at least six months' notice to Members. Notice of termination will be provided in the Gold Circle section of the Aer Lingus website.
By using the Gold Circle Club membership number to register Gold Circle Points with the Gold Circle Club or by participating in the Gold Circle Club, Members agree to be bound by the terms and conditions of the Gold Circle Club. Failure to abide by the terms and conditions will invalidate membership of the Gold Circle Club.
All correspondence will be sent by e-mail to the Member's email address as advised on Application or as amended in accordance with paragraph 1.6 above.
For security reasons Gold Circle Rewards cannot be despatched prior to a Member using their authorised pin/password to complete a transaction.
Members will be responsible for any travel taxes, security charges, duties or levies, which may be charged in connection with a Gold Circle Reward.
Members will be responsible for any tax liability arising from the receipt of Gold Circle Rewards.
Aer Lingus Gold Circle Rewards are offered subject to the prevailing legislation in each of the participating countries.
The Member shall ensure no person other than the Member shall acquire knowledge of his/her pin/password.
10. Governing Law
To the extent permissible by local law, these terms and conditions shall be governed by Irish law. Aer Lingus and each Member of the Gold Circle Club submits to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts to resolve any disputes that may arise out of them.
